As the school year comes to a close, the DPS Foundation is proud to celebrate a year filled with innovation, growth, and meaningful impact across our schools. Here are the top five highlights that reflect our commitment to supporting students, educators, and our community:
1. Mystery Theater Fundraiser a Smash-Hit Success This year’s Murder on Television Mystery Theater fundraiser was a enormous success, bringing together community members for an evening of fun, food, and fundraising. The event raised significant funds to support classroom grants and student programs and showcased the creativity and collaboration of our talented staff and volunteers.
2. Launch of the Sponsorship Program to meet the growing needs of recurring and high-impact initiatives, the Foundation introduced a third funding category: Sponsorship Programs. This new opportunity supports sustained programming that has demonstrated continued value to student learning and school culture.
3. Additional Scholarships Awarded to Graduating Seniors Thanks to generous donors and new funding partnerships, the DPS Foundation expanded its scholarship program this year, awarding more scholarships than ever before to deserving graduating seniors. These awards are helping students take the next step in their educational journeys with confidence and support.
4. Strengthening Community Engagement Our events this year—from the annual fundraiser to the family STEAM carnival to the volunteer programs—brought together parents, educators, and supporters to celebrate education and build stronger connections across our school communities.
5. Supporting Innovation in Education The Foundation helped fund innovative programs in areas such as virtual reality, music and arts, and early literacy. These initiatives empowered educators to try bold new approaches, many of which are already showing promising results.
