The Dickinson Public Schools Foundation was established in 1989 to generate funds for the school district that go “above and beyond” the school districts’ budget. A Board of Directors was created, bylaws were written and the Foundation obtained their 501(c)3 status as a tax exempt organization. Donors may deduct contributions to the DPSF as provided in section 170 of the tax code. Gifts to the DPS Foundation are deductible if they meet the provisions of the tax code.
